Optional Internship Program: The intensive weekend is followed by an OPTIONAL 4 week internship period where you will shadow a certified IHOOPU instructor. You will begin by observing their classes and eventually by the end of the 4 weeks you will assist the certified teacher and teach a segment of their class. At the end of each class the certified teacher will provide feedback to you, so that you can learn how to improve on your teaching. Upon the completion of the 4 week internship you will write your exam. The exam consists of a 2 hour written segment based the IHOOPU teacher training manual and what you learned in the intensive weekend, followed by a 1-hour practical exam in which you will teach new hoopers the IHOOPU fundamentals. |
